Between Worlds

The next original cd is “Between Worlds”.  This cd begins experimenting with virtual instruments.  There are some virtual instruments including acoustic bass, along with keyboards, violins and dobro guitar.  All other guitars and instrumentation was done by myself, George Kachmar on lead guitar and Dave Gravelin on all drums and percussion.  This CD was really fun to make and in a way, it almost made itself.  Dave and George are old musical friends and we have been playing together so long now much of what we do is intuitive.  There really isn't any need to delegate or manage anything.  These people are true professionals and they are already equipped to bring what is needed to the song.  Many times my job as producer is to step aside and give them room to create and then record what they magically create.  I don't know what musical genre to put these songs in.  They could be jazz or rhythm and blues or pop or folk jazz.  You pick whatever label you want to satisfy your need to classify and pigeonhole things.  I just call them the songs on the album.
